Fashion Week Street Style!

One thing I love about abroad Autumn/Winter fashion weeks is that they give us a hint of the upcoming South African winter trends which we can take inspiration from.

Paris is the final stop on the month long of fashion weeks around the globe which include big cities like New York City, London and Milan.

Photographers were all over taking pics of fashionistas who attended the shows....

The schedule of events began on the 6th of February in New York City

 Next stop was London Fashion Week

Following on from the Snow in New York City and the Rain in London, Milan served up some sun.

U-The Space Opens its doors!

Where does one go when in need for some nice coffee, chilled vibe and live music in and around Sunnyside? Well....look no further because the is a place or should I say space which is Formely known as The Love House called  +U-thespace U-yourspace.

+U-thespace U-yourspace is a coffee shop and was launched on the 1st of February 2014. I was very excited when I received an invite for its opening and boy it met my expectations, Good Food, Good People, Good Vibes and ofcourse lots and lots of LOVE. What I also like about the place is that kids and pets are allowed, So come check it out yourself

RVK Fashion Week

If you stay in Pretoria and you are a fashionista then you should be familiar with RVK, two young designers who have a Stall filled with vintage clothes outside The State Theatre.

RVK stands for Retro Vintage Kolektion and will be hosting RVK Fashion week which is a bi-yearly fashion event that showcase all Pretoria based designers summer and winter collection.

The Fashion show will be held at University of Pretoria`s Aula Theatre from the 28 of February to 02 March 2014 and will see guest designers from around Africa such as Suzanna from Tanzania, Alexio from Malawi Amira from Mozambique and Kamol from Nigeria to name a few flocking to Pretoria.

Its A New Year!!

Honestly, to me it has not really sunked in that it’s the New Year until Tuesday when I got back to work and had to write a date 14.01.2014....maybe it’s because I had a fantastic holiday.

 My holiday began on the 28th when I arrived at Drakensburg for the +Smoking Dragon New Year's Festival 2013  which began on the 29th to the 31st of December. I loved everything about the Festival,  the stage setting, the hip and energetic people and the line up which consisted of +Naftali Of The Royal Family, MXO and The Peppercorns, Desmond & the Tutus, +shortstrawband, The Dollfins and Fruits & Veggies to name a few.

Next stop was Port Saint Johns in the Eastern Cape`s wild coast, we stayed at +jungle monkey Backpackers overlooking the camouflaged ocean. There were a lot of activities, I got the opportunity to go hiking in the mountains and swam at the waterfall....I have goose bumps just writing about it. I really did enjoy my holiday and the people I was travelling with.

Beyonce`s Fifth Album Shocker

+Beyonce has released a fifth album exclusively on iTunes last friday the 13th of December which came as a suprise because she avoided the traditional suspence-building marketing strategies.

 

Beyonce said that she did not want to release her music the way she has done it, Im bored with that said Beyonce. " I feel like I am able to speak directly to my fans, I felt like I did not want anybody to give the message when my record is coming out, I just want this to come out when its ready and from me to my fans" said Beyonce.

 

The self-titled record features 14 tracks and 17 videos, one of which is named after her daughter Blue Ivy and there are collaborations on the album which includes his husband Jay Z , rapper +Drake Graham, Justine Timberlake and her former Destiny`s Child bandmates +Kelly Rowland and +Michelle Williams.

 

 

The self-tittled album is available on iTunes worldwide.

Tribute To TATA MANDELA

The viewing of Nelson Mandela has begun today at the Union Buildings till friday the 13th of December

 

I stay in Sunnyside Pretoria just a few blocks aways from the Parliament (Union Buildings) but Am not sure when to go exactly as South Africans from all walks of life have come to witness this historical event

 

 

Good To be Back

well, when I say its good to be back I mean its good to write again after a month of not writing

the reason was the examination which ended on the 19th of November, it felt like a huge baggage has been removed from my sholders because I had to study 24/7, really there was no time for Social activities.

But I luckily I managed to Escape to Western Cape`s +Jeffreys Bay with a couple of friends.

This is just to notify you guys that I am back and will be posting, since its the holiday season and a lot will be going down
