Dressed to Impress at Erre and Friends Fashion Event.

On Saturday I fashionably stepped into ERRE Fashion Studio in Waterkloof Pretoria to witness their latest Autumn/Winter 2026 collection. The invitation said, dress to impress and impress they did.
Opening the Fashion show with a color story that speaks for itself. From white to burgundy, every piece was sculpted, flowing, and made to move. This is why I show up for SA fashion. As a Fashion Blogger, I have been to a few shows, but this one felt different. the runway was by the poolside and packed with beautiful garments that mixed elegance with bold South African energy. Every walk felt like a story, designers played with cuts, fabric and color in a way that made one stop scrolling in their head and just watch.
Then came the second collection. Structured skirts, sharp silhouettes, and that mix of texture had me taking notes. From leather to ruffles to metallic, it proved Dress to Impress isn’t just about gowns
Bold prints, clean lines, and pops of red that stopped the show. This is South African design with confidence. Every piece felt intentional, wearable, and strong. The stand out for me? The way the pieces balanced high fashion and wearabillity. These were not just clothes for the runway, these were garments one would actually want in their closet for an event, going out for Dinner or that moment when you need to turn heads.
The final collection was an all-black lineup that proved simplicity is power. Structured shoulders, flowing silhouettes, and tailoring that commanded the Waterkloof runway. Dress to Impress was the theme, and they delivered it to the very last walk. Actress and singer KB "Mamosadi" Motsilanyane sent models down the runway with her music and kept the attendees in good spirit.
Being there reminded me why I love fashion blogging. its not just about clothes, its about Art, the creativy, the crowd and the energy when the music drops and models hit the runway. ERRE Fashion and Friends captured all of that. if you missed it, watch the space. Pretoria`s fashion scene is growing fast darling.

South African A-Listers hit the Met Gala Blue Carpet

The Met Gala, formally known as the Costume Institute Benefit, is a Haute Couture fundraising festival held annually for the benefit of Metropolitan Museum of Art.`s Costume Institute in Manhattan New York.

Taking place on the first Monday of May,, each year the Met Gala has a theme and this year`s theme was centered on Superfine: Tailoring Black Style. The exhibition explored Black Dandyism and the role of fashion in black identities over the past 300 years. source tywmag.

The focus was on Men`s Wear and for me, it was like watching a men`s wear fashion show from different designers in one runway.

Africa Fashion International CEO and Founder Dr Precious Moloi Motsepe was one of the few South Africans who walked the Met Gala blue Carpet and she was also.one of the exhibition sponsors . Dr Moloi Motsepe followed the theme with a custom made Dandy Elegance meets luxury outfit by David Tlale.
