Ikwekwezi FM in partnership with Thembisile Hani Local Municipality hosted its second Zikhakhazise Ngesikhenu Cultural Fair to celebrate its 42nd Birthday at Kwamhlanga Showgrounds this past Saturday the 29th of March.
The weather favored the event and to say that the event was epic is an understatement, People from around Kwandebele, Mpumalanga, and Gauteng came out in numbers looking colorful, stylish and beautiful in their traditional regalia.
The guests were treated to some beautiful music by Kwandebele Artists with the likes of Isumi Lamadoda, Dumile, Sisco Tee, Angie M and many more till the end with the final Act Makhadzi who ended the performance with a Bang. Ikwekwezi Fm presenters mingled with their guests and listeners the whole day and also took selfies with them.
Kwandebele Socialites and Fashionistas looked the part in the VIP section.
The general public who seemed to be enjoying themselves were sitting down picnic style and others were sitting on their camp chairs sipping drinks and listening to live music.
Although some guest at the general public section did mention that they were a bit cramped, the venue was small and rocky and this might be due to the fact that the event was initially or rather previously hosted at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium situated right next to the Showgrounds Lets assume the reason the Radio Station could not acquire the venue was because the Stadium is under construction.
Other than that, the event was a success to say the least and Ikwekwezi FM ensured that Kukhanya Bha!
