Caitlyn Jenner Honoured at ESPY Awards

+Caitlyn Jenner highlighted the challenges transgender people experience when receiving her Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Award held last night at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles

Jenner said that “the last few months have been a whirlwind” before laying out in stark terms the dangers many young trans people face.

Jenner, formerly known as Bruce, won a decathlon gold medal at the 1976 Olympics.

News of the honor was first announced in June in the same +Vanity Fair Magazine article that revealed her transition from Bruce to Caitlyn

Among the attendees were her Mother Esther and children.

2015 BET AWARDS

The BET awards are held annually by the Black Entertainment Television network to celebrate African Americans and other minorities in music, acting, sports, and other fields of entertainment over the past years.

This year the BET awards were held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles the past Sunday and were televised on BET. 

A string of celebrities attended the event including some South Africans such as +Minnie Dlamini , +David Tlale, AKA, and +Bonang Matheba  to name a few.

+Karrueche Tran walked the red carpet solo on Sunday night, rocking white hair, a black bralette, and a beaded snakeskin jacket. Her Chiselled abs where impossible to miss.

+Karrueche Tran`s hair looked so familiar, I think I saw the same hair colour on Madonna`s Daughter Lourdes earlier in the month. Lourdes was photographed when she stepped out with her friend in New York City.

Mary-Kate and Ashely Olsen win big at CFDA

I have always been a big fan of the two classy and civilised Olsen twins and their last nights victory cemented my love for them.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen  scooped their second +CFDA  Award for their women's wear label The Row. The twins won the accessories prize last year, and the women's wear award in 2012. They won again this year despite a challenging category, which featured fashion heavyweights such as Proenza Schouler, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs and Joseph Altuzarra.

The Council of Designers Awards took place last night at Alice Tully Hall in New York City which was attended by a string of models, fashion designers, musicians, actors and actresses or should I say celebrities.

 +Pharell Williams who was in the company of his stylish hippie looking wife was one of the winners last night. He won the Fashion Icon Awards which was won by +Rihanna last year. Remember when +Rihanna came to the event to receive her award wearing practically nothing and saying she was covered in +Swarovski crystals? Yes...that event
