ROBERTO CAVALLI has explained what it takes to make an unforgettable party - a mix of aesthetically pleasing guests and a great soundtrack. He should know, having recently hosted a week of late-night soirées held on his huge yacht - where he entertained high-profile guests including
+Roberto Cavalli and +Eva Cavalli
 +DSQUARED2 designers +Dean and Dan
 +Hillary Swank

Cara Delevingne and Sharon Stone. He also was one of the annual Life Ball's key organisers last week, an event attended by 15,000 guests- from Bill Clinton to Liberty Ross. Not one to be outshone, the designer himself arrived in a sparkling gold open-topped mini.

"The party is part of my world," Cavalli said. "To make a great party is simple; all you need are beautiful women - charming, elegant and wild, this is very important for the pleasure of the eyes - plus nice guys, very good drinks and very good music."

For Cavalli, drama, glitz and high-octane beauty are a way of life - and, as he says, his fans expect nothing less from him.

"It's part of my job to be a big actor," he told The Telegraph. "My role is to be a designer, yes, but also to be a rock star: that is how people expect to see me."
