Victoria's Secret taking alternative route

The company founded by Roy and Gaye Raymond in 1977 and sold to Leslie Wexner in 1982 has decided to let go of their world famous angels whom they are now seen as culturally irrelevant. For years, we have seen Super Models on campaigns and annual Victoria's Secret Fashion modeling fantasy lingerie.

Moving forward the brand has launched a campaign with high-profile women known for their accomplishments rather than their figures.

According to FOX News, Victoria's Secret Chief Executive Martin Waters said that the brand hopes to become a global advocate for "female empowerment". 

"When the world was changing, we were too slow to respond," said Waters. "We needed to stop being about what men want and to be about what women want."

Viktor&Rolf Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2021: HAUTE FANTAISIE

Watching this colorful Haute Couture show by Viktor and Ralf made me realize that Crop Tops and High Waste are not going anywhere, in 2021 that is. This look, the high waisted voluptous skirt with a crop top is nicely paired with grunge looking boots. I love it. I would definitely rock this look at a party.

Get this, all looks where styled with Melissa/Viktor&Ralf shoes, they where made from recycled plastic in bright candy colors, heavy soled high top lace-up, apparently to stay securely grounded while temporally floating.

On their Instagram page, the designers stated that "in absence of real-time catwalk, for Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2021, they propose a "Couture Rave": an imaginary show inspired by parties that were and parties to come. while aiming to provide a lighthearted escape into fantasy, both collection and presentation also have gritty edge." they said that with this collection they felt more free than ever, motivated by a sincere desire for 2021 to become a feel good year.

Siyabonga Nene well known as Big Zulu is a Rapper from KwaZulu Natal, Bergville and is also known for his stylish looks in his music videos and in real life.

Big Zulu always looks dapper in his Brentwood and a pair of Carvelas that  Brentwood South Africa welcomed him as its ambassador and to add on top of that, Carvela also announced its collaboration with this "Vuma Dlozi Lami" star.

Conscious Fashion, according to Collective Humanity website, is a part of the growing design philosophy and trend of sustainability, the goal of which is to create a system which can be supported indefinitely in terms of human impact on the environment and social responsibility. The website also states that Conscious Fashion can be seen as an alternative trend against Fast Fashion. 

How these sustainable clothes are paired together by some of these stylish South African women is breath taking, the choice of outfits says a lot about how we perceive the world.

Christian Dior Ready To Wear Spring/Summer 2021: Oh! So Boho!

Christian Dior Spring /Summer 2021 collection had a Boho look which was amazing, it had comfortable looking dresses, jackets and shirts, paired with stylish Roman Sandal and beautiful hand bags.

 The designer, Maria Grazia Chiuri mentioned that they had to approach this collection with an idea more of design, she said that the clothes have to reflect this new style of life which is living differently and staying more at home within our intimacy.
